Music Therapy is the clinical use of music aimed at promoting physical, developmental, emotional, and psychosocial wellness.
Chenango County Music Therapy was founded with the goal of providing the highest quality music therapy services in line with the American Music Therapy Association's standards and ethical guidelines.
People of all ages and all abilities can benefit from individual and/or group music therapy services. From Early Intervention to End-of-Life care, music has a unique ability to engage and inspire change.
Board-certified music therapists are trained to facilitate a wide range of evidence-based music interventions within the context of a therapeutic relationship by adapting to the needs of a client from moment-to-moment in support of individualized healthcare and/or educational goals.
Music therapy services can be provided in school settings, at medical facilities, in nursing homes, at day-treatment centers, through community programs, and even in your own home. Many services can be billed through Medicare Supplemental Part B or Self-direction Funds. Contact us to learn more!
